well as your details. Then, click on calculate returns and view
the estimated returns to claimant net of the cost of funding as well as
an indicative view as to whether your matter is likely to be a viable
candidate for funding.
1 · Budget
Enter the lawyer's budget at rack rates, excluding sales tax. Add as many phases as you need; leave unused rows blank. The "% paid ongoing" row is the CFA / discount each party has agreed to.
2 · Tax on budget items
VAT / GST on lawyer and disbursement invoices that the funder must pay.
3 · Outcome ranges
The range of plausible settlement / trial payouts and durations. The calculator produces a 20 × 6 grid of scenarios across these ranges.
